Hi, Need your help. Easy one. How do you evaluate Spot-on Mask, those that are peelable and used for wave soldering and conformal coating? thanks and regards,

for conformal coat we are having issues with the camalot P.C.'s, the software is not supported past the windows 98 platform, we are looking at asymtek now, there is also an up and comer called USI....

Amejia, If your application is strictly conformal coating and no heat is applied to the board, the product seal and peel would be the solution see link http://www.interfluxusa.com/misc.html This product solidifies immediately on cooling The only dra

Steve, We use that Circuit Works pen as well! You can purchase a UV cure then download it to an opaque syringe or bottle. Use a small EFD or similar luer lock tip and dispense where needed. Tom

The hand assembled part is soldered in? If so, the white residue may be from the operator using some added wave solder flux to get better wetting when hand soldering.

You can find some input on IPC-HDBK-830 Guidelines for Design, Selection and Apllication of Conf Coating. Also look at IPC-CH-65A, Guidelines for Cleaning of Printed Board Assemblies. Regards...........GS

The fluxes used in the board manufacture are RMA fluxes. The board is cleaned according to the IPC standards and tested to ensure quality. I am thinking of designing a DOE to isolate the problem

hi, sorry for the late reply. We solved the problem by rinsing the boards in deionized water after alcohol scrub

surface tension of solder mask material on the board. Need to rough it up prior to board assembly. Use Silica (cabosil) and IPA mixture and rub
