You can also consider the very old simple method with decreasing the reflow zones on the bottom side with 10C. Sometimes when it is marginal issue like yours....you could be surprised.

63/37 is eutectic. It's either a liquid or a solid at a specific temperature. There is no in between. Lowering the temperature will do nothing except make the temperature lower.

Sr. Tech it is not as simple as that. Viscosity of material is changing with temperature. So it is liquidus but it makes difference.

It been a long time. You need special conversion cables, the board stop has to be changed and you have to swap a bunch of connectors on a card.

I believe the x20 and x21 ports are used for smema. There is a proprietary smema end, that connects to those cables. They almost look like parallel port connectors right?

Hi Aurther, Thanks for a prompt reply. I agree but unfortunately our AOI is 2D and misses a lot of solder defects especially on connector terminals which are surface mount. We are also dependent on operator at AOI to mark the defect if caught by AOI
