You're correct. The units should be micro inches. By the by, this gold always should be a hard gold (99.96%-99.97% pure) with a Knoop hardness range of 130 to 200 (optimum 170).

I usually Spec out 20- 30 uinches of gold over Nickel (50-80 uinches). If the most conduction is needed use Immersion Silver, about 12-20 uinches). Tom

That uis correct if your wanting solderable gold it should be 10-17uinches, but for coantact suchas as switches and card edge 30 is used
