Aperture Adjustments and Etch Compensation on Arrays

Electronics Forum | Thu Mar 28 15:53:49 EDT 2019 | SMTA-Jon

As a CM, we don’t have a lot of input on the PCB layouts we receive. Some engineers/software packages output the paste layer 1 to 1, some do an across the board reduction, and some set each part up individually with different reductions per footprin

Inspection and splicing

Electronics Forum | Tue Aug 21 08:34:03 EDT 2007 | rgduval

We have the same problems with cut/tape parts. But, we specialize in short-run prototypes, so I don't have much of a choice but to deal with it, and find a way to make it as easy as possible. We just demo'd a splice tool from Sierra Electronics (ww

Universal GSM and 0402/0201 Placement

Electronics Forum | Fri Jan 16 15:46:07 EST 2015 | comatose

We did 0402s for years on a GSM. Is this a flexjet or a 4 spindle head? A flexjet is easy with 0402s. The four spindle nozzles are big, you run into issues with knocking already places parts and having to Z zone carefully (and beware repair cycles.)

Manufacturing and test room cleanliness

In our production line we use the pick and placer My100 by Mycronics. We get a lot of feedback from quality department about IC's being placed upside down, wrong polarity. (Wrong polarity usually already delivered to us, or IC's placed in the sticks

Hi, We have software tool, called TopoQC, that displays topologically CAD view with failures and calculates solder points by one click. Also, you can calculate DPMO & Six Sigma values on the same screen. You can read about it on our website: http:/

Process ideas for adhesive on bottom side SMD's and wave solder

Electronics Forum | Wed Nov 23 07:38:49 EST 2011 | davef

We agree with the points made by ScottE above. Additionally, most printers are not heavily loaded. So, you wouldn't have to buy another machine, give-up floor space, purchase and store peculiar tooling, etc. We think Darby does pin transfer. Maybe h
