have not seen this issue personally, often identify cracks on MLCC parts but never dark spots. May be worthwhile to replace as a precaution if at all possible.

We have some MLCC capacitors that show some discoloration, or spots. Does anyone know if this will affect reliability? Caps test good - and assemblies function perfectly.

Thanks for your reply - parts in tape have similar markings - gets worse after reflow. ~20% have this issue. Units pass test no problem. Occurrence is random.

I've never seen this before and I would be suspicious. Have you tried to dust it off with a brush or Q-tip, it might just be some sort of process contamination. Have you looked at the reel to see if the parts are coming in with these spots from the

Hi, my Quad IV-c is showing a really dark image on the camera and its VERY difficult to see the components pads to make the adjusts. I already check the monitor brightness (at maximum and I can see the crosshair, so the monitor is good) and already

Move the camera over a feeder position and shine a flashlight to see if the image improves.....if it does....your light ring needs replaced or the led's need replaced in it. Sometimes just re-adjusting the angle of the led's in the ring can help. Go

re-adjust them .....yes just bend them in a little more. As for led's ....i have tried all kinds...some work better than others.

Bob Wasn't there a MOD code or Function code that controlled default light brightness? My memory is fuzzy on this so I might be completely off base.
