Emmanuel: Take Jax's word. NiAu (ENIG) primary (some would say only) redeeming characteristic is its flatness that you mentioned, but that flatness appeals to folk placing fine pitch devices, rather than BGA. Good luck. Dave F

Ashok: I believe J-STD-033 was released in the past year. A-610B is much older than that maybe 5 years. A-610C, 3.4.1 references J-STD-033. Ta. Dave F

Charles: Interesting. Best laid plans, eh. Why don't you throw those pups into a glass of water and save some air freight? Or have you decided that shipping 'em is cheaper than buying the Altos? ;-) Ta Dave F

Mike: I'm with you. The only variable is the component. Look for corrosion, uneven plating, or crud on one of the end-caps. Good luck. Dave F

Re: SRT Rework Station, Model FPD-W

Electronics Forum | Thu Feb 17 22:37:59 EST 2000 | Dave F

Brian: Don't know the model you're talking about, but SRT is top drawer for the high-end rework stations. There's maybe one other company you can mention in the same breath as them. Good stuff. BIG$$$. Dave F
