What would be the best router to use that would allow clearance on the top side for large components and long wires on the top side of the board? High volume so must be fast.

Singulation is much faster and cleaner than routing Here's a link to a fairly recent article on gang sawing CSP http://www.electroiq.com/articles/ap/print/volume-9/issue-10/features/step-by-step/step-11-the-back-end-process-singulation-step-by-step.

I have done some initial testing and looks like a 60W C02 laser can be used effectively for depanelizing boards. Charing initially is significant but by reducing power and making multiple passes AND flooding with Nitrogen I expect this an be reduced

And new not used? It sounds like something I would not want to buy used. What the time like with multiple passes?

cut time was very good (not a concern) Main advantage is flexibility and simpler fixturing than routing as there are no side forces. Charing was evident, but can be reduced with a few tweaks.

A buddy of mine has problems after depaneling double sided pre-scored PCB's. Resistors near the edge, after put into the slice and dice machine contain micro cracks. He's checked for them before and after depaneling. We figure it is the sectioning

We are currently using both CAB (Hektor) and FKN (N100)depanelizers. We have a customer that has round PCB's and the only depanelizers that I have found that will work is the FKN N200. Does anyone know of any other manufacturers or solutions for roun
