Did you try pre-tinning your board on this suspect pad/s to see if it improved wetting/solderability prior to printing/SMT placement and reflow? Does the pad/s not soldering tie to a ground layer? I would connect a T/C to each pad of the same part an

Dear Davef, Thanks for sharing with me..I observed this creeping corrosion tend to appear on PCB via hole rather than other PCB location. Why this problem did not appear on PCB traces? Besides, I also notice that this problem only appear on the PC

I did see ESD issues years ago when we tried using a plastic stencil to print SMT glue. We measured a huge charge on boards indexed out of the printer. I tried ionizing fans but that didn't help. We now only use metal stencils for printing adhesiv

Questions are: * What kind of oil is this? Where did it come from? * In olden days, we used to pour oil on the wave solder pot to limit dross formation and loosen-up the solder. Miss that stuff, sigh. * Is there oil under the BGA? It's surface ten

Hi Flipit, One of our customers has recently changed to this type of finish on their PCB's, due to them wire bonding MMIC devices in their factory after we do the SMT build. We found that we had to change all of our stencils for these products, as t
