Type 4 solder paste

Electronics Forum | Wed Apr 14 08:15:18 EDT 2004 | arcandspark

We have tried other stencils with different size openings but this company will not allow us time or money to run any experiments to define stencil criteria and printer settings, its just run, run, run. They really dont care about post reflow yields.

Wave Solder: Flux Validation

Electronics Forum | Fri May 28 13:09:42 EDT 2004 | Glenn

Thanks for the advice regarding the ultrasonic spray fluxer ... we are currently using Delta Wave 6622c wave solder machine with dual spray heads (the ability to use two completely different kinds of flux chemistries). It's a great system that works

PCB Manufacturer (SMT Technology) should read this

Electronics Forum | Wed Jun 16 18:01:45 EDT 2004 | Rodion Pronin

The result you will be receiving is an ASCII text. It is up to an operator to use the information. What we need as input are: number of feeder attachments on the front and rear line, we need x,y coordinates of the pcb placed on the machine and x,y co

Looking for expert opinions, Solderability

Electronics Forum | Mon Jul 19 14:58:50 EDT 2004 | mattkehoe

We have a need for expert opinions on a solderability issue. Our company prints and then reflows solder paste with no components in place. It is then washed and flattened with a special flattening machine. Usually, the paste fuses and spreads out

Electronics Forum | Mon Aug 16 07:47:49 EDT 2004 | M.Enright

Currently we have an issue with cracked capacitors at SMT 1&2. We have seen several different types of capacitors cracked on at least three different products. We are using an "Universal 4796 HSP".This has been checked by a rep from "Universal" who c

Lead Free ...

The alloy I have chosen uses a wetting angle of 50-70 degrees. Different alloys have different properties. I coupled experimental data with what others have published. Nothing new here. As for reliability...I think you'll be surprised what lead fr

Hi Simon, thanks for answering so fast. Well, our company is building several different products to monitor turbine activities (power generation and propulsion). So our boards are equipped with mixed technologies including minimelfs, 0402 chip resis

Rejuvenated solder paste

Electronics Forum | Tue Dec 21 11:46:29 EST 2004 | KEN

Are you adding liquid flux? Or paste "Gel" flux? If liquid flux: This, in my mind, is an unacceptable technique. Why? 1. Can not control metals content. 2. Probably not adding the same chemestry flux...as paste flux has many different addi

Mydata Agilis Feeders

Electronics Forum | Fri Mar 03 04:57:09 EST 2006 | grantp

Hi, Wow, weird seeing this old thread pop up again, and it's weird re reading my old posts, and remembering how frustrated we were with the larger 12 and 16 mm Aggillis feeders that kept sticking. We ended up dumping the MYDATA as it just could not

MYDATA Myspeed software is total junk

Electronics Forum | Wed Jan 12 14:47:09 EST 2005 | gregp

This will always be the case with in-line spindle machines that rate their cph based on unreal conditions. Flexible placement machines with different head designs will perform better (closer to advertised) and are truley more flexible because you do
