Try using the loctite(glue) during the top side process. Other way is to separate bigger component IC on the last process (top side).

Hi Grant, You forgot Charlatan, or my particular favourite: twat. Tube feeders also encourage operator error, where tubes being changed over all of the time can be put in upside down.

From a design/test/troubleshooting perspective, I would pick a QFP hands down - I can't probe a hidden solder ball.

thermocouple wire

when I order a thermocouple wire for doing oven profiles, it comes in a standard length of 36 inches, will there be any effects if I were to cut the wire down to 9 inches? Will cutting change the readings?

I assumed he intended to glue the nut to the part, turn the board upside down and run it through. Thing is, you might seriously have to crank up the heat to get it to reflow with that big sink on there.

We toss extras at tear-down unless it looks like an unusually large amount which could = qty. pick error from warehouse. In that case, we do a cycle count. All overages are issued when the kit is pulled so they are already taken out of stock.
