Quad QSP-2 FeederBase calibration drifting

Hi to everyone I hope someone can help me with a problem I have on a Quad QSP-2. when calibrating ( Or trying to use ) Feeder Bases 2 and 4 on gantry 2 Im getting small amounts of accumulative drift in the X axis. I have changed the servo amplifier

The only thing left is the read head. Older read heads tend to 'weaken' with age. Sometimes some engineers will shim them up closer to the scale using a 10 mil shim. You could also swap them between gantries...i dont think they are to tough to get to

John....Are you positive the machine is drifting.....Are the pickups drifting too???? If they are....then you do have a drift prob....if they are still on....sounds like false fiducial finds. Good luck.

MPM AP/A Problem

Having a problem with a MPM AP/A. Once a board is programmed; all is calibrated and the first board screened - each board thereafter drifts and gets progressively worse. The drift can range from barely off to half off the pad. Any ideas?
