I have heard that there are problems using immersion gold on PCBs when working with BGAs. Is this correct? Is white tin more suitable?

I have expirence running,double sided Imm gold boards recently which ed up a lot of solderability issue. The Imm gold need to be slightly more control during reflow oven area on it's profile.

Hi All, In IPC-A-610 there is a definition for what constitutes "Entrapped/encapsulated/attached" on page 5-14 in the note. It says that it means that the ball will not be dislodged in the normal service environment of the product. Jim Jenkins

Hi Cmiller, Sounds like someone else is finding out the benefits of the Versaflow. Your comments are all valid.....? What spec of machine do you have.....? Are you running low Vol high mix.......?

We change the nozzles depending on the job. Do you have the magnetic nozzles? We upgraded to that. Usually we use the smaller ones.

SMD adhesive

I haven't used that Loctite before as I've never printed adhesive, but you might try reheating the part with a hot air tool...it works pretty well with 3609.
