Sorry all I know is that storing the paste Tip down the flux will run to the tip of the cartridge so will be runny initially then dry up as you use the cartridge. Unless the Rheopump mixes it before application

Flux is less dense than metal so it 'floats' to the back NOT the tip when the tubes are stored tip down.

Yes sorry you are right so you have answered your own question anyway. Dry to start runny at the end

I'm curious how many knobs have left to be turn? :-) Isn't time an issue in a production environment? Vlad

Hi We are designing a new pcb which contains sensitive analogue circuitry, where tiny leakage currents could dramatically affect product performance. Should I build this product Clean or a No-clean chemistry set ? Thanks in advance

Try the "straw test" to test for ionic contamination. For reference, here it is from the fine SMTNet archives: http://www.smtnet.com//forums/index.cfm?fuseaction=view_thread&CFApp=1&Thread_ID=496Message3044

i'd like to have design information about how to produce membrane switches using the screenprinting process (making silver traces, buying /placing domes) Who knows where to find information? (we normally only produce the artwork)

How are they being stored and handled? It might be an MSD issue. I think IR reflow would be a worst case scenario.

We have seen this same defect. Led's not blinking during test and some tops popping off. Ended up being an msd problem. most of the lite-on components are msl level 4-6. We now bake and track them no problems seen in a while.
