If your fabricator understands and controls their in-house ENIG, you should be OK. It seems that fabs don't undererstand ENIG processes well enough to duplicate hyper-corroded nickel, but those that have not seen the defect usually never see it.

So true :) But I think we will have the final fight with the supplier when we will have troubles with the ENIG. We will assembly the product. From my experience, i never found a product with no black pad defects. It depends of the fabrication lots. T

Another thing to consider - If you're processing lead free, the nickel layer between the copper and gold provides extra protection against copper dissolution. This is a nice piece of insurance especially when performing rework. Cheers

Our machine is YAMAHA YVL88II and the issues we have with these data switches are either not being picked up from the feeder at all or are being ped before assembly.

I also use Flexa but we use QP3 and our vision number is 20. I would feel they are comparable libriares.

hi manuel, you can try vision 180 frontlight. treat DPAK as two leaded part. assign the the upper and lower leads at 1 and 3.

Thanks ! I will try your recommendations, about the flux and the preheaters, yes they seems to be ok I will bring down de conveyor speed because it looks like if it is to fast is set to 3.6ft thanks again!

Armando, Make sure chip wave is pumping evenly across. These TD machines require a lot of maintenance (deep cleaning)to ensure all the holes on nozzle are open... My two cents, George
