Is your peak reflow temp exceeding the LED spec? We store our SMT LED reels on the rack with the rest of the discreets and have never seen this issue...

Dear all, could you plaese tell me what is the "normal" % of wasted components in SMT production? Thank you.
Electronics Forum | Thu Mar 25 14:31:28 EDT 2010 | cguerzoni
Thank you, it seems to be an high scrap %. I think that this % depends on the size of the component (machine loss), on the lot size (new lot set up loss) and on the number of components per reel (new reel set up loss). What do you think abot this?

The missing rate spec. of normal machine is under 0.3%, for our experience 0.1% is normal for average, if you can maintain the machine well, like the nozzle cleaning, feeder maitain...you can keep the 0.05%.
