Solder Balls at component side around Pin in Paste components

Electronics Forum | Fri Nov 14 17:15:54 EST 2014 | tombstonesmt

Are you experiencing the solder balls on the opposite side of connector insertion or same side? If it's the same side as connector insertion how many strokes are you using at? We've experienced a few issues with pin in paste, everything points back

Sounds like your snap off profile needs adjustment. More than likely there is paste under the stencil being transferred over to the board. Try adding a cleaning cycle after every board to determine if this is the issue. If the solder balls go away af

I will soon be filling an electrovert solder module which is only going to be running one (lambda) nozzle/pump. this leaves quite a bit of solder volume I am going to have to put $$ into. Has anyone here used iron bars or spacers or bricks or other

Rock can contain a little bit of moisture. Bake the rocks for a long time before placing them in solder so they don't explode. The glass marbles may be the safest idea. Or start heating the tank with the solid mass already in there. Did I just write

I would try FAB 3000 for Advanced DFM checks, I believe since your post, many updates and bug fixes have been completed. Or if you're not looking to spend so much $$, try DFM Now PRO. Here's a comparison grid showing you all the features. http

through hole questions

Hi Adam, So with two to three people on the slide line, each only able to place five different components maximum, this means you generally don't exceed 10-15 through hole parts per assembly, correct? I am guessing these are mixed technology boards

I've spoken with a number of Engineers about this subject and there didn't seem to be a consensus number. In my own experience, I found that we were replacing the stencils after approximately 30,000 print strokes. In my predictive maintenance spreads

Well the stencil in question have shield components. And this stencil sometimes doesn't even reach 10,000 strokes. As compared with stencil that does not have shield components, the life span seems to be lesser considering that same squeegee, print pr

How to strengthen the ability of anti-interference in PCB design

To get the best performance of electronic circuits, components and circuit board supports circuit components and devices in electronic products. Even if the circuit principle diagram design is correct, the printed circuit board is designed improperly
