I successfully inspect solder on plcc's with angled cameras on the yestech we have. In the past I have successfully inspected for solder with angled cameras on mirtec machines for both plcc's and qfn's. Other than inspecting solder on those two types

I am having difficulty programming/inspecting a large SMT Relay. It is a dual in-line through-hole package with 5 leads per side formed to a gullwing configuration on .100" pitch. We have programmed it as a SOW10 pkg and got usable lighting values bu

We are EMS. Later revisions and Other models are get Modified. Now we have some remain Stock of Pcbs abd there end also. We have taken trial with Reduction in Apparatuses. But even small amount of solder paste at thermal Pad is causing QFN lift up.

Also, I was just thinking that most of the large companies we work with do not consider via drain an actual void. As a matter of fact our high dollar super fantastic Xray system actually has a switch to turn off the vias during void detection so that

Is this a "thermal balance" issue? In the 2nd image you have a group of pads blobbed together as one giant pad. IMHO this is a bad idea, QFN's rely heavily on the magic of your paste and good PCB design to get good alignment. When your solder paste i

Well, you wouldn't want 100 deg difference from zone to zone, in that you would likely exceed your maximum ramp rate, for instance if Zone 1 was 90C and zone 2 was 190C. Over time a general guideline (rule of thumb) has emerged, max about 40 deg dif

Thanks to everyone for your answers... Delta T represents the maximum temperature difference between the hottest and coolest part of the assembly.........so if we take a profile, the hottest point would be on the solder pad and the coldest would be o
