I would like a name of a facility that will x-ray BGA's. We do not at this time have a way of doing inspections of a BGA. Any help in locating said facility will be appreciated. Thank you Barb

Try Precision PCB Services in Santa Clara, CA. They perform BGA component rework and X Ray inspection using the latest models of SRT and Nicolet Systems. Web site: http://www.pcb-repair.com Phone: (408) 654-0773

A search of this forum will reveal the names of a number of providers of this service. If you are in process development, you can rent an X-ray machine from Glenbrook Technologies by the week. (

We are looking for a poster or chart that lists all types of SMT component package types available today. This chart would include a picture of the component, a brief description of the component, and maybe some dimensions. Does this exist? Please

Cliff Have you done something to your server this morning? The listing is downloading at 18+ kb/s (usually under 4, often under 1 when it is busy your side of the Atlantic). Is it a fluke? Brian

I'd have put it myself into the Admin group, but I wasn't able to :-( However, it must have been a fluke: yesterday afternoon and this morning, it was back to its usual snail's pace : 2,8 kb/s today. Pity! Brian

Is your firmware version 1.95? In the pd section, do you have the field "auto offset" enabled? Just a couple of things to look at.

I was wanting to know if there was any type of formula that I could use to determine the correct packaging for a SMD For example, if I have the component measurements, can I find out what the correct width and pitch of the tape it comes in should be
