Electronics Forum | Wed Mar 27 02:59:01 EST 2002 | ianccy

Hi, Don't know if some holes can be drilled to yur machine table, if so, yu can make the support with at least 2 pin and plug into the table, better to use aluminium support, easier to CNC. Hope this help

So does it mean Magnetized Blocks, are not going to be a concern for magnetized machine tables? or are not going to generate electro-magnetic fields? can anyone please help unravel this pop-quiz question? (keeping in mind the support block has rathe

I have used magnetic supports for some time on our printers and have never had any issue with them. They are in the machine 24/7. The best support would be a solid base screwed in and with vacuum, but if you don't want to drill then use the magnetic

Barry, If you are looking to set up a documented process with set parameters you might think about performing a DOE based on the parameters you can control or change. With any measurement device you should be able to log the info gathered so you ca

BGA underfill necessary with conformal coat?

We had a problem with conformal coating getting under an IC and with Temp. and vibration would cause cracking of the solder bump, underfill solved the problem.

Regarding your underfil ... * What material did you use as an underfil? * What machine and technique did you use to apply the underfil? * What type of component were you underfilling? * What was the end-use environment?

What is too much silver in a joint

Electronics Forum | Thu Mar 28 11:37:08 EST 2002 | Bob

I have been looking at cross sectioned joints. In some instances there are areas where there are large concentrations of silver. Could anyone quantify what is too much and also explain how the intermetallics are formed. Thanks.

SMT History

That's pretty apparent, isn't it? SMT is smaller, faster, lighter, better... Elkectronics are smaller, faster, better... See any correlation here? How do you write 5000 words on that?
