Thanks, GS This is a SMT LCD device with a plastic housing; we need to save the part if we can. I'm afraid the localized heat will damage it so not sure if that will be safe.

We are looking to add another SMT Line but to do so we need to eliminate some of our shelving. If any one has any suggestions on storing SMT reels, trays, and tubes, it is greatly appreciated.

We store alot of our reels on portable wire shelves. We created a "floating island" between the computer station and the SM machines. Push them together when machines are running...wheel near a machine when loading a job.

Just business as usual in my experience. It's not like they try to hide this stuff.

That's partially correct. If products manufactured in China are destined for export out of China, they don't care what is in them.

And if products are destined for China, they don't want them made in China. I hate being cynical but I hate even more that no matter how cynical I am I end up not being cynical enough.

Gotta be China... We are selling our manufacturing base to slave labor, reverse engineering, uneven playing field and "Western" hating countries.

Exactly, TD. They will milk you for as long as they feel is necessary...then adios. They sicken me with their reverse engineering zeal... Manufacture in the US, convince your OEMs that the deceit and logistics nightmares are not worth it!

If you have a titanium version it will be fine. Get the serial nuber off of the unit and call Sonotek to find out if your OK. WS fluxes are more aggressive on the standard metal that they use..thus the titanium version.
