I cloned the Flash Memory Card (CFI-128MDG ) for the Topaz-X (circa 1998). The contents looks identical to the orginal, but it will not boot the machine. Has anybody tried this and know what is wrong? (MSDOS 6.2 OS) thanks!

I'm assuming it was formatted in FAT12 or FAT16, MSDOS 6.22 doesn't support FAT32 AFAIK. Was it cloned on a modern computer?

You can access the GECKO from the rear service access panel. It's also possible that you blew the fuse for the Gecko and not the gecko itself. Usually when the Gecko goes, the axis works, but it shudders or grinds. If it's totally dead, the fuse is
