Hello, We have FCM base 2 machine (Philips-Assembelon). I am trying to find out whether it is possible to install instead vacuum pump (make noise and power consumption) venturi system. Does anyone try to do this.? What was the result.? What vent

Hi, we use Vitronics Delta 6622 solder wave.I try to adjust high of backplate, but I don't know whether the adjustment is correctly. Now, when the frame enter in the main wave, solder flow in the same direction as PCB.But when the frame go above main

You want the backplate set up so that when there's no PCB the wave stands still or moves towards the PCB. When the PCB moves over the wave, it should just pull the wave towards the back (in the same direction as the PCB). This will help reduce brid

We also use machinists dye. I like to pull a vacuum on the board after wicking the dye under the BGA. It seems to help fill fine cracks. I'll stick it in a warm oven if I'm in a hurry for the dye to dry. Then just bend the board to pop off the BGA.

I would think that you could quite easily use 0.6mm I/D nozzles even when using a hand syringe. As you say you are only using this for larger devices to prevent them from falling off. I am sure there are very reasonably priced small compressed air un

We use EFD pneumatic dispensers. Several are second hand from our favorite online auction site. I just checked on there and there are 3 units currently less than $50. Have the bean counters where you work get you one. Tell them your hand hurts from u

We are experiencing corrosion and subsequent pcb contamination from the RTV material used to secure a Power Supply. The degradation takes place over a few weeks. The power supply vendor is balking at liability, our OEM customer is screaming. Anyone

We bet your customer has freaked-out. Some common RTV out-gas ammonia during cure. Many types of RTV depend on strong acetic acid to work. Also, ammonia plus water in the air produces ammonium hydroxide, an aggressive alkali. We've talked about this

Hi Grant, I wouldn't worry too much. If your PCB has a solder mask, just glob the solder on and use solder wick to suck up the excess. A bit of Isopropal alcohol afterward with a cotton swab will make it look like it's been reflowed. Cheers, Ber

What causes BGA voids over 25%? Have recommended profile for solder paste, hit 237C for 5 seconds and still get a void on 2% of specific BGA in various locations. BGA is FG676, 1mm pitch, on ImAg using lead free paste OM338 on a 6 layer FR4 PCB.
