OK I am game and will put some input here...I do like the Samsung machines for the price and they are easy to program. Another company you may want to look at is Essemtec. ESSEMTEC USA Glasboro, NJ 08028-1499 Steve Pollock Tel. 1/856 218 1131 Fax 1/

hI rOB, try considering Essemtec FLX 2020V or the 2030V. It is probably better than MyDATA. regards

ouch! Don't hold anything back Rob. Have you looked at Essemtec? If you are in the UK the distributor is Contax. They have several models that might fit the bill for your prototyping needs.

Hmmm. Judging from the overwhelming response, I'd say these pick and place machines are not very popular.

There's no real point in them now as for not a lot more you can get an I-pulse, Samsung, Mydata or Assemblion machine, or a good second user machine for the same or less.

http://www.essemtec.com/e/115.php I found this link in an earlier posting. Looks like it has everything you'd need. I have no experience with the company or their machine to give you an opinion though.
