Is there anyone out there required by their customer to clean the finget tab contacts even after using noclean paste? We have been asked to clean even though we don't have any flux residue on the contacts. Any ideas? Mike

Sure...I can help. Reduce the temperature and the error will go away. Seriously though.....I'm not sure that oven is even capable of those temps. Is it even convection?

Just askin but why would someone even want to subject an assembly to even 6 reflow cycles? As far as how many cycles that an assembly can be subjected to, wouldn't that be determined my your components?

You need to find out what is not compliant about the part. Also some parts can be compliant even though they are not stated to be. Even if the leads had a tin lead finish it may not be enough to make it not compliant. Anyways there is not any body in
