Aqueous cleaner water disposal

Electronics Forum | Tue Aug 27 11:08:24 EDT 2002 | slthomas

We use an evaporator, so that we only have a sludge of flux residue and solder metal to dispose of via the hazmat handling service. We also route stencil washer waste water into it. We use a 30 gallon drum and have it hauled off maybe twice a year,

A.O.I - no salesman pitch pls

Electronics Forum | Tue Jun 10 20:31:55 EDT 2003 | iman

In a perfect world, the machines would be maint."guys" for the automation machines. Think "closed loop" system. Anyway, getting back to our reality job, we are still game for automation to improve thru'put, quality, reduce problems. The focus here

0402 (1005) component

Electronics Forum | Thu Apr 28 15:56:44 EDT 2005 | stepheniii

Hopefully it is just the part data a little bit off. But if that doesn't help, make sure the thickness sensor is calibrated bang on. And do the nozzle height adjustment. What are your nozzles and filters like, as far as being clean goes? I've put dow

Need Help for EMI Shielding process

Electronics Forum | Fri Nov 11 09:38:41 EST 2005 | Rob

Hi, There are 2 main steps to reducing EMI from a product. The first is to minimise it at source with smart design (keeping signal traces short, lots of decoupling etc). There should be design guides available from internet seach engines. Many ma

Soltec Parts - cheap?

Electronics Forum | Wed Feb 01 10:01:09 EST 2006 | electromek

I was wondering if anyone else is finding cost and delivery time for Soltec parts not acceptable. I would love to get a substitution list going with everyone. I am after a replacement for filter 90006942. We need to replace 3 of these a month and Sol

Nitrogen Generation Equipment ( reliability)

Electronics Forum | Mon Sep 29 17:15:26 EDT 2008 | gdzuber

Hello, In a membrane generator there are almost no moving parts. So, the maintenance would be to replace the active carbon filter, and seals, about every 2~3 years. Normal life should be 10+ years. To prevent problems, the compressor must be oil-fre

AIR TIME

Electronics Forum | Wed Aug 08 12:20:51 EDT 2012 | swag

We have a Kaeser AS-25 screw compressor with Kaiser air dryer + cylinders. The system has a water catch prior to delivering air to the dryer that automatically "spits" to a drain. It's not fool proof - if the water collector gets overfull, it will

Vapor Degreasing, Inline Aqueous or Batch Cleaning - What is your preference and why?

Electronics Forum | Wed Aug 14 10:44:04 EDT 2013 | sarason

In my limited experience. A Domestic Dishwasher with no water recycling like which is offered on some of the newer high priced models works a treat. Clearly this is batch. Inline filtering of the water supply is a good ideal. There are several ways o

machining durastone pallets

Electronics Forum | Thu Feb 09 10:13:37 EST 2017 | swag

Agreed. We machine all our pallets in coolant. No dust but a big mess still results in the bottom of the CNC. You'll burn through a thousand cutters if you try it on a router table. Just doesn't seem feasible. You'd have to take like 0.020" dept
