thanks for your reply, The beading is on top of the board, Maybe we should check the parameters of the wave etc. I just needed to know if it was standard practice to run boards thru wave without pallet. Thanks again

Are you using an Omega (vibrating laminar flow) or other type of hole fill enhancement? If so, turn it down and this will help with the solder balls coming through the board. Otherwise it seems as though the flux is still to wet/liquidous when it

Tell your board house/customers you want "non-smobc". hich stands for non-solder maske over bare copper. MPMs love exposed fids in just about any finish. You can always use pads on an MPM too.

Mercury vapors are pretty good. Also, if you can build n some day light diffusers for natural sun light to come in. It works pretty well. Use a diffuser as clear glass may cuase vision problem with equipment if under direct sun light. Been there.
