I just hope that lead-free alloys will only be used in tropical climates and above 13 C. Check here: http://materials.open.ac.uk/srg/srg_tp.htm Patrick

Anyone has experience working with pb-free Vitronics 1030 ovens? We're working on purchasing a unit and need any pros and cons you might want to offer. Thanks in advance.

PS, we had a similar situation when a quick disconnect on the flux supply went bad, limiting flow. Take the nozzle off and turn the fluxer on, you should get a lot of flux flow, If not, the lines are probably clogged.

May need to change nozzles for this waterbased flux. Seems quite high to me as well Russ

Definitely too much pressure for any fluxer I've seen. Something must be restricting the flow. Maybe the nozzle.

Actually I'd gotten tired of waiting on hold, but the last time I called I left a message. Great customer support once you get someone. Got a driver and a .pdf for a 17 year old ISA card!

I've got some MELF packages that reflow and connect but later fall out of the solder pretty easily. We are not using epoxy but, the parts have fillets per IPC standards. We have not looked at cross-sectioning for IMC and don't plan to at the moment
