Electronics Forum | Mon Mar 26 11:34:34 EDT 2007 | coop

as long as you are not getting recognition errors, and placements look good, go with it. as far as the pattern matching, the only thing I can think of is changing the it from circle or square to sp. shape and giving it the dimension sizes asked for.

Mika: Based on what we hear you saying, we're not so sure we have a problem with the board layout [1:1 between board and interposer pads, non-solder mask defines pads], but with the flawed execution of the layout. If your board fabricator decides to

Need a new Pick/Place. Recommendations?

Electronics Forum | Wed Mar 28 01:02:27 EDT 2007 | John B.

Looking at the Emerald machines, they do seem like they'd fit the bill quite nicely. Other than the operating system, is one generation markedly better than the others? I have all the data on the X2 from the manufacturer's site, but what changed from

Well, what I have takes data directly from the Protel 99SE placement file, so in the present form it is a bit specific. This file is simple ASCII text, but the layout of columns will be different on other CAD systems. What I have has a number of sh

Defect Per Unit (DPU) versus DPMO

Alot of QM's and QE's are typically failed Engineers who lack common sense. They don't understand that measuring in DPMO's (versus DPU's) "normalizes" your data for Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA's) so that if you have 10 defects on a PCBA t
