OSHA regs and safety glasses

Electronics Forum | Wed Dec 12 11:35:26 EST 2012 | rway

I work for an electronics manufacture. Our end product is on PCBAs. My question is related to the use of safety glasses, which I know are required when doing rework. But here is the question: We ordered side shields for prescription glasses. Wha

Td and Tg

Electronics Forum | Wed Aug 27 13:08:30 EDT 2008 | vladig

Td - is the degradation temperature for a laminate (board), while Tg - is glass transition one. There is one more (even more important) - delta Tg. They characterize the quality of the laminate material. Regards, Vlad www.sentec.ca

warp and twist

Hi Dave, Thank you for your inputs as they were good suggestions. I however let out one important detail and that this is IMS material and not glass reinforced so I think that there is more bending going on during processing than warping and twistin

Placement Accuracy and CPK

Electronics Forum | Tue May 22 16:07:31 EDT 2007 | francitj

We are doing a field study to test the placement accuracy and calculate cpk of some machines in our plant. From previous readings, it is suggested that you buy glass board kits from Accuspec, Topline, etc. Is that the easiest/cheapest way to go abo

PDBE and PBB replacements???

rush316 First, no one stated that PBB and/or PCBE are in FR4. FR4 contain tetra-bromo-bisphenol A [TBBA]. Second, there are classes [and grades] of dielectric materials used in fabricating printed circuit boards. Grades, NEMA LI-1. From these gr

Hi floydl, I completely understand when it comes to data crunching after long hours of performing measurements, it's the last and most important arduous task in obtaining performance data. If a measurement and evaluation process that traditionally to

OSHA regs and safety glasses

Well, I answered my own question. Here it is for everyone's benefit. The glasses must meet the ANSI Z87.1 standard for safety. So basically, if they are not stamped with Z87.+, then they are not compliant.

Hi guys HELP!!!!!!!!!! I have been tasked with working out a chart to show calibration acCuracy and that my machines are in control I say to myself I know they are cause I have no misplacement of fine pitch but this is not good enough for my co

You see? Chunks, here has the right idea! To the original poster, you need to show this post to your "Desk Jockey" Process Engineer. That's the problem with some Engineers today. They forget everything they learned in Engineering school, they get

| Hi everybody? | I heard that typical FR-4 would not acceptable for BGA application. | What is the main reason? | (thermal property? or CTE?) | Sombody please answer me the requirement of PCB substrate for PCB application. | Thanks. | | Youngho Son
