Short circuit tracer/finder ?

Electronics Forum | Tue Feb 18 18:33:57 EST 2020 | jerlong2020

I have used infrared imaging to find electrical shorts on logic boards between the 5 Volt buss and ground. You can power the electrical short up to draw 50 to 100 mA and then look for the warm spot in the infrared display.

Where do you find SMT Programmers?

Electronics Forum | Fri Jul 17 16:47:38 EDT 2020 | stephendo

Ask your Fuji sales rep. And other sales people that you deal with. And if you are ever looking for a job ask them if they know who is hiring. Good sales reps keep their ear to the ground.

Poor Reflow with Ground Planes for Wave Solder

Electronics Forum | Fri Aug 14 13:52:12 EDT 2020 | emeto

We understand you can't change the board design, but can you change the process? Why do you have to run SMT parts on the wave? The suggestion above are great, but if they don't help, I feel you should build a case and change process.

The fact that it is plastic means it is probably a static generator, which is a bad thing. It also being plastic means it cannot be grounded. We use Metro carts (see pic) with each shelf wired to the next and cart dragging a chain across ESD waxed fl

ESD Shelving

Electronics Forum | Fri May 28 12:51:05 EDT 2021 | cbart

1. If a populated PCB is put on a ESD safe Rack, is it able to be placed on a Plastic Shelf? = I would say no, here is why: if there is an esd event on the rack/tray where will it go with no path to ground? being the rack is a generator you are going

DEK 03! CAN Node Rising Table Error

Electronics Forum | Thu Dec 22 11:18:59 EST 2022 | emanuel

I am interested to know if you solved this problem. We are experiencing something similar. The table is the first node in the CAN chain. As I see the structure, the CAN starts from the Nextmove ES card, goes first to the table driver and continues to
