FYI...Universal has software that "senses" if parts are present in the PTF trays or not. With some upgraded s/w your dumping would be over

Try Component Express. They have quite a few tube feeders available. I've used their Multi-Tube feeders for the GSM with success. http://www.c-express.com/

I have a PTF that is blowing the MMIT card on the PTF. Anyone have any ideas why? It's OK until the PTF begins the zero process. Thanks, Dyer

It is less reliable, no longer is in production, and requires off-line programming. If you can afford a PTIF, buy it.

You can also try calling Universal. I don't know what the situation is like in the States but we can't get the Multi-pitch feeders directly from Hoover-Davis here because of contractual agreement between Hoover-Davis and Universal. LC

Anyone heard of a BGA599. I was wondering the package size of this part, and if a GSM-1 would have any problems placing it. Jamie Ford

Once the machine has finished placing all th parts is there a way to slow down the speed at which the machine lowers the board back to the conveyors? Or are added board supports the only option?

| Hallj: I believe a Universal "chipjet" is a bulk feeder that mounts directly on a GSM placement head. Check the link below. TTYL Dave F
