I don,t speak english very well but I,m trying to give my opinion. I have the same problem but with the conecctor, because I have an IP-II and it hasn,t nozzle origin, I think if "I have an IP-III; I can correct this problem" I think maybe we need t

Do you have influence on the design process ? Avoid components you are not able to assemble in certain $-limits. A way to put delicate parts on the pcb that your PnP isnt able to place is to add an SMD-manipulator used for manual assembly between

Currently we hand-assemble all prototypes, usually quantities less than ten. I mentioned the 5 to 50 number because a client will occasionally request more than ten, which has been handled previously by using an outside contract manufacturer (we are

I appreciate your comments regarding the programmability of the Mirtec. What type of SMT machine do you use? How easy have you found it to transfer the SMT profiles to the Mirtec? How do you rate the Mirtec in handling top/bottom, multi-panel asse

BGA Alignment

Are you having problems with alignment of BGA's or perceiving that you will have problems. We run thousands and they re-align very well with leadfree if slightly off - Do you handplace all your BGA's? I would imagine there would be cosiderable cos

I'm not in assembly, but I do know of a technology called Sipad if you are only looking to do small batches. They pre-apply the solderpaste to boards with a light adhesive, which allows you to hand-place components, even micro BGA's and fine-pitch Q

First off, are you planning on placing these parts with your placement machine since you mentioned that you do not have an alignment system for rework? I would be leery of handplacing a BGA into paste by steady hand and craned neck alignment. Seco
