Ken is right about the BTU VIP's, we have 2 both about 6 years old as well, i've been here 1 1/2 years and only replaced a 15V power supply on one of them, no other issues at all.

make sure they are cleaned properly after the tape is removed. I think there is a spray available but I have never really looked into it.

Most times its easier to verify the parts......and if you set it aside.......when/if you have a board that ends up missing some parts.....you can use them off the taped one....

Hi Ken, We would build a one off with an exact number of components on a different line, in a different manor completely to a volume, chipshooter job - however, we'd only really be doing a one off like that if it was a prototype as we're not in that

It sounds like the camera needs calibrated and its not something that can be explained that easily. It will not pass if its not calibrated correctly. We use the fixed camera for many different types of fine pitch and dont 'usually' have many problems

Hi, does anyone know/have used rubber masking boots to mask connectors, headers etc. prior to conformally coating them? i would appreciate contacts for custom rubber boot manufacturers in the united states. Thanks, Amol
