Hi, No, the layout is different, but both have chips located arallel and perpendicularly to the flow direction. And we do have defects in both orientation. What about the PCB warpage? Sometimes we find warped PCBs. Could this affect? Thanks, Yu.

We have retaped the components ourselves or had a tape house do it for us and we have on the more expensive components hand placed them in a couple of instances, this is not a common solution and only should be done as a damage control procedure.

Jason, From what i can gather it's a bit of both. The feeders are the siemens sliplace feeders. What it seems to me is that we have gone for the cheapest option of parts and they aren't good enough. Nobody appears to have written this down though!! C

Wire bonding on gold fingers

Have you considered a temporary water washable solder mask. Elvaway solder mask tapes have been protecting Gold Fingers during soldering and simply wash away in a water wash process and leaves no residue.

BGA with gold corner / reflow problems

Does anyone else have the same problem with BGAs that have a gold corner. It looks like the area where the gold corner is, it does not want to reflow proberly but the rest of the BGA reflows fine. Any suggestions????

I'd have to agree with Russ. Air Vac and SRT are probably 1 and 1A respectively in the rework equipment area. Both have good to excellent reputations, Good luck.
