Re: What exactly is an apect ratio?

Electronics Forum | Wed Oct 11 16:24:35 EDT 2000 | John Thorup

Hello Antonio ASPECT RATIO = the ratio of one dimension to another as in the ratio of the thickness of a stencil to the width of the aperture. For instance, a 10 mil aperture in a 5 mil stencil will have an aspect ratio of 2. This is aperture width

Re: World Class: Is it a philisophical question?

John, I hope your figures or numbers are part of your SPC process. Our management loves this stuff. I think the production line, world class or not would reflect the attitude of the people working on it(keep that between you and me) management does

SMT Daughter Board Placement

Electronics Forum | Fri Oct 06 09:16:10 EDT 2000 | Kev Head

All, We are planning to place a daughter board that has a surface mount relay reflowed onto it already. The reason for doing this is a bit complicated and not worth noting here. The process would consist of first placing the SMT relays onto a mult

Re: Adhesive Dispenser Vs. Screen Printing Adhesives Pros and Cons

Electronics Forum | Thu Oct 12 11:08:20 EDT 2000 | Fraser

Dave, Why on earth would you want to use a stepped glue stencil?. If you print slightly off contact the hight of your glue deposition will be roughly half the width of your adhesive aperture width so if you want a 10mil high deposit use a 20 mil ape
