hi All, recently i have received some parts with the lead turning black, and i then found out the leads are silver plating, is that going to be a problem? or it is simply a cosmetic issue? pls advise ASAP!! thansk a lot!!

Well i wouldn't run every board then!!!! okay seriously, All bad parts off the same each time or are they "all over the place" Check your mount height, you may have sagging or warped boards or just bad part height

Check the resistors on the circuit board. It is also very likely that you have blown the crystals in the transducers. How big is the unit? What is the frequency of the unit(transducers). These can be tricky to troubleshoot, but replacement transdu

I would suggest you do the following: get a sample / scrap board that you will be reflowing, attach thermocouples at various locations on the board, send the board to APS or whomever. Ask them to run a profile based on your solder pastes manufactur

JEM, If you do not get any responses here you should have Mydata furnish you with references. Contact these references to see if they actually know what they are talking about and use that information if applicable to decide. Jerry
