AMI offset problems

Does anyone out there have experience with very old AMI screen printers with AVISAS automatic vision allignment? I am confused about the forward and reverse offsets. Specificaly the meaning of forward and reverse.

Additionally, I have seen the bad align error from incorrect pickup Z. Quad align can freak out sometimes if it sees something it doesn't like. If all else fails I just reboot and 99% of the time the problem goes away.

Looking for recommendations on a small bench-top batch oven for reflowing simple one sided boards. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations? I'd consider used over the Asian imports to save money,... as long as it's the right oven .
