Thanks for your help. Solved it - The spindles on the head were stiffer than the other heads, so greasing it fixed it.

Are you using adjustable workboard holders or dedicated ones? Are both heads lined up exactly the same(using the b.e.c. template? Are parts formed correctly and lined up with the component holes on both sides(heads)?

Jeff, You assume too much. Not all VCD's had clinch in sensors. Darron did not tell us what vintage this machine is so what habsfan said could be the problem. We need more information to help. Does the machine stop when it doesn't cut the lead? D

Anyone out there with first hand experience with the Advantis platform and more specifically with the lightning head? How is the speed/accuracy/software? Thanks!!

The Lightning Head on an Advantis Platform is a good choice. You should expect to see "Real Life" speeds around 20K, better accuracy than any Turret Style Machine, and the software is the same as any GSM,Genesis,Advantis machine using a Windows platf

Does anyone know what an "Axis Head 1 Theta DAC limit error during Move Absolute Command" may mean? It occurred during production. I have checked through the board's program for errors but cannot see any.
