Any reason why you would switch to Immersion Ag from ENIG? I am also considering the use of Immersion Ag (switching from good ol 63/37). Are there any papers on the benifits/problems of ENIG vs Immersion Ag?? Thanks in advance JD

Hi, I would like to know if someone is using a immersion AG for their board and if this plating modify the property of the solder paste? do I need to make changes on my temperature profile? We want to change from HASL to Immersion AG to mount

We are moving from ENIG to Immersion Ag. We notice PCB's with Ag finish getting more heat(increase in peak temp) than the ENIG. Any reasoning behind this phenomenon ? KT

Hi Dave, Immersion Ag has poor surface appearances after reflow or rather tarnished, while Immersion Tin requries higher temp. Probably that's why Immersion Ag is more preferred.

Hi mates, since I read about this immersion Ag plated PCB, was wondering if its so damm good, why so few people are using it? and why so long to market its PCBA application-virtues? feedback from bouncing this question around is Ag is prone to corr

Where does this notion that thermal profiling is absolute come from?

Hi, Thermal profiling is not absolute? It seems to work great for us. Regards, Grant
