That I can do, checking the placement height that is and the clamps. I believe my clamps are 4mm. If your nozzles have survived 5 years how many placements is that...roughly? In the billions?

We have a CP-40 and a CP-50 and have placed millions of 1206 parts in the last year and there is minimal wear on the N08 nozzles.

Has anyone had good luck with the reflow on these extremely heavy bga's. This bga has 1517 balls and requires alot of heat because of the thickness of the part. Just wondering if anyone out there can help me.

What is the highest temperature set at in your oven and your belt speed. Also what type of oven do you have? Thanks much. Your right about alot of heat needed. We actually see the outside balls much flatter and soldered compared to the middle bal

This is caused by cte mis-match. The balls in the corners are short and fat. The balls near the null point are tall and more normalized. I don't remember what the zone settings were... BTU VIP98 BS was probably 22-25 IPM

I would think the communication between the machine and feeder would be the main drawback, not sure if the manufacturer will give you info on how they do this.

Even worse, you might be running into patents that prohibit you from building the same stuff they are. Might wanna check that first, because I doubt that Fuji or whoever will grant you a license.

Quick note on Hover Davis, I am not impressed with their Fuji IP feeders at all. They short out and blow IC's up in the MFU's They sell their own feeder set up stand to tell whether or not you have a shorted feeder. What the hell is up with that ?

I'm also looking at a CAM system for our NPI process, but want a system that scales up through data collection off the machines, and from our technicians. The Aegis suite of software looked awesome, but not at into a six-figure pricetag.
