10x16 by 5 mil stencil gives me a area ratio of .615 unless I am calculating incorrectly. I will try and attach some images tomorrow. By reducing the Y direction my area ratio s below .6 and I thought this was not advisable. Your help is muc appreci

Ray, 10x16 should give you .62 area ratio, Theoretical Solder Volume=800. You should increase the width and the length to get better solder release.

Does anyone one have any recommendations on type of table top to use for "tabletop" AOI machines. Someone suggested to me of using slate table tops or heavy duty suface tops. Does anyone have any ideas?

Ralph, Is this problem related to all product or is it product specific? You may need to change the fiducial data in the program. I am not familiar with flexa but have some knowledge with MCS30.

Hi, if it is for all your products, for me it looks like a camera cable or camera problem. You are loosing connection and get the message. FFFC looks like a fatal error. If it is only one product, play with the lighting and treshold. Regards, Emi

If you're having trouble with a specific board, double check your Pattern, Diameter, Color and Scan Area under the 'Mark Data' tab. You can also try setting the Pitch Tolerance to '0' in the machine configuration. Good Luck, Bill

When our IP-II did strange things we would do a reset start. This fixed a lot of odd behavior. Jerry

Yes, we are looking at using it for our solder paste. The customer mentioned wants us to test our boards and initially we've heard the SAC105 is better for "higher mechanical stressed" assemblies. Thanks for your reply!!

What pattern programming utility do you have, or do you have one at all?

My point is that the only contributions I've ever seen you make on this site are to recommend that product, and you've done it quite regularly. It looks to me like trying to sell product is exACTly what you're doing.
