Hey, great, thanks! Now I can check with my machine maker and see what their feeders are spec'd to. I may send a reel of parts out to be tested, too.

I am printing solder paste directly onto a QFN device. Any recommendations on the type of solder paste to use? Namely I am concerned about getting a good release from the stencil. Thanks

Whatever you would normally use to print that size part on the pcb should work. Same aspect ratio rules apply for release.

Use No-Clean fine-particle solder paste from Kester. http://www.suite101.com/content/solder-paste-and-its-application-in-smt-a249514

Hi all Did anyone encounter that the thermal crack failure or any failure issue by using the Kemet Ceramic Cap, particularly 0.1uF,while wave soldering? Before using this part, I want to clarify whether it is suitable for our process or not. Thanks i

We know nothing about your process, but Kemet ceramic capacitors can be wave soldered. Kemet wrote papers on wave soldering their parts.

Hi davf Our process is the manufacturing burn-in-bord, SMT,insert sockets, wave and touch up. 1 board needs 0.1UF about 3k+ components.Kemet recommanded to use the reflow machine for Ceramic Cap when i chked its website.

Ok...Maybe there isn't such a place. I am suppossing that everyone purchases from the machine manufacturer. Does anyone know of a third party unit that work well? I would like to be able to get a unit that we allow us to calibrate our siemens and uni

Hi Namruht, One question, what exactly are you wanting to achieve using "feeder calibration? In what way would feeder calibration make these feeders (between Siemens and Universal) compatible? Or maybe i misunderstood your point .....

I know of Ambitec (Taiwan). They make feeder calibration jigs where the base is common for all types of feeders. You just need to replace the jig on the base depending on the feeders you're trying to calibrate. They provide base as well as jigs for m
