Electronics Forum | Fri Feb 15 13:45:18 EST 2013 | cowens

We have a MPM UP2000. We are getting a hardware limit error when we turn the machine on and try to reset. The F14 fuse blows every time we replace it. The downstop is the first axis that it tries to go through but we get this error. Any help would be

J-STD-003 - All Must Be 95% Or Better

Electronics Forum | Tue Feb 26 07:46:04 EST 2013 | stephendo

If anyone still disagrees with you point, out that the "of each" refers to individual pads. If the 95% refered to 95% of the pads it would not have said "of each". Also someone correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this standard to do with solderabilit

We've had great success with acrylic based cut with xylene. Very accurate with little to no masking necessary for keepout areas, very rarely have to make adjustments on our Asymtek. On the other hand we have an Asymtek dedicated for silicone coatin

Too bad you couldn't make it to the APEX show. Lots of equipment, and coating experts on hand. To answer your questions: 1. Yes, multiple brands, as well as non-UV cure. 2. Yes, there are. What you choose really depends on a lot of other info. 3. Ye

Wave solder flow over back plate

Electronics Forum | Thu Feb 21 12:02:03 EST 2013 | pbarton

We agree with all of what Patrick has said. Hopefully your equipment is capable of the ideal setup you describe with no back flow until the product hits the wave and then back flow until the product emerges the other side. One other reason to strive

Thoughts on having AOI catch components that are supposed to be non populated???

Electronics Forum | Thu Feb 21 11:22:06 EST 2013 | emeto

It is a very interesting thought. However, teach all positions on the PCB might be challenging if you don't have them in the file. I think it is a smart think for OEMs as they would have all the resources to control their files. For CEM I don't see i

Reflow cure of E-30cl epoxy, anyone ever done it?

Electronics Forum | Thu Feb 21 14:34:29 EST 2013 | danburnikel

I have a product that is ramping up to volumes higher that our batch oven can handle. One option is to apply Loctite E-30CL on to our circuit card and send it through a heller 8 zone oven. Was thinking of a oven temperture of 150C for about 10 minu

Nano coatings ?

Electronics Forum | Fri Feb 22 13:48:27 EST 2013 | cyber_wolf

I have been told that stencil nano-coatings are rain-x in a different container. I guess I half believed it until I opened up a sample the other day. It smells EXCACTLY like rain-x. For those of you that have never smelled rain-x it has a very distin
