We have a PCB with the dual sided connector that slides on from the edge and has leads on the top and bottom sides of the PCB. It has 20 leads on each side of the PCB with with about .8mm pitch. The PCB also has a gold grounding strip on the edge fo

The holes are calibrated in MSetup. Generally, I have never had luck using the auto teach for the nozzle changer. We would teach them each manually. Before doing this, you need to narrow your issue down a bit more. Which head gives you this error?

We have been experiencing an issue with solder balls coming out of wave, both RoHS and 63/37, no clean process. It has been determined that a reduction in flux has all but eliminated the solder balls except for where we need to use board stiffeners a

If the world was a perfect place, I would recommend preventing solder balls in the first place. While low amounts of solder balls are common, a high volume of solder balls are problematic to a cleaning machine (batch or inline). Solder balls may beco

Hi, I need help on how to address the solder wicking on the samtec searay connector after reflow resulting to open solder joints on thick and thermal heavy PCB (4.4mm and 6.3mm). I increased my solder paste thickness to 8 mils, the connector is manua

Hi Phil, thanks. I am successful using the same connector on small thinner boards 2-2.5kg) i cant make it work, tried all kinds of profiles with vapour phase but to no avail. Yes you read it right 4.3-6.3mm pcb thickness and 2-2.5Kg. And it is 44 lay

Hi Evtimov, Thanks again! The solder wicking/open solder joint is not actually gross rejection, it is only a few and appeared random (difficult to trend the location of the opens), what is perflexing is that i have this 1 or 2 open solder joints sur

As far as the large thermal gradient I have on my thick and thermal heavy board, I've done quite a bit to minimize the gradient but not successful. it's like one pad is connected to a signal while the other pad is connected to ground, you can't bring

Routing is great for odd shaped PCBs that don't lend themselves to v-scoring. changing from one shape PCB to another is easy. The down sides are you may require custom support tooling and they generate alot of dust. keeping up with the PM will be cri
