Anyone know of a clean effective way to remove silkscreening from SMT components? We are currently using a laser source removal process and wish to consider alternatives.

Quadra Laser is really cost effective also regarding feeders, spare parts and maintenance, but I think it's not easy to found on the used market; many companies keep using it even when buying new pick-and-place equipment for large productions. Regar

You can get laser cut stencils in mylar 3 or 4 mil plastic sheet. This company will cut one for you form $25 for a 4 sq inch mask. See http://www.smtstencil.com/. Apparently there good for one-off to small bactch production. Neil

CK, That is the exact machine I had. I bought a Dek 265LT in 1997 or late 96. Was one of the first Dek 265LTs made. Never had to use epoxy blackened fiducials and it worked great with 1/2 etched or laser cut fiducials. Chris

Hi friend, Can be possible with 1st & 4th head. But if you want do vision test , it is impossible. Only laser test , yes it could be . If you want to do vision test, you have buy Ke2060 with MNVC option.
