We've been doing it for quite a while on some parts but are noticing that as more manufacturers are going lead free we are starting to see some issues. Particularily with pure tin on nickel. Have found that need to increase oven reflow temp and time

You need a nylon with a heat deflection temperature [heat distortion temperature] - 0.45MPa ( C ) similar to your reflow peak. The HDT of the nylon in your connector is probably ~200*C. For more, look here http://www.tycoelectronics.com/environment

If you use regular solder paste you will not need to process at the higher temp. Using Flux only will require you to reflow the lead free balls. When we process ceramic BGAs with the high temp/lead free balls we always use 63/37 paste and it works

It's possible your supplier has not thought through the results of their conversion to lead-free throughly. We'd expect something like: Reflow Parameters||Pb Assy||Pb Free Peak Temp.||235�C �5�C||255�C �5�C Time Within 5�C Peak Temp.||20 to 40 sec.|
