Ideally, I would like to purchase directly from the current owner and not through a broker. I need to first settle on a given machine or a short list of machines

Hello! I have same feeling that if you would put best things together into one machine than you would get almost perfect one. But I think that I have that feeling by each machine purchase so life is not so easy with that. Regards! Danilo

Did you try explaining the problem to your machine manufacturer for direct assistance? Perhaps your machine brochure would indicate a 24hrs helpline service, or any contact no.

The mydata machines are using different packages. Since we know the part numbers and packages affected, would it be posible to load some sort of offset file to correct this before sending it to the machines?

Put the files on a floppy. At the machine, use the import file tool to bring the file in; tell it that you're importing from floppy. The machine will find the appropriate files on the floppy, and import them to the correct directories. cheers ..ro

Go into the program screen at the machine and look at the device offsets. See if there is an offset for the feeder. I have also seen a bug on CP4 machines that is like what you described. Switching to the camera view corrected it. (wide/narrow)

If you plan on loading offline to get the most out of your machine time every day then they are a must. If you don't care about that and how long your change overs keep the machine down then I guess they don't matter.
