Samsung CP40 Z height motor alarm detected Error Code 1523

Jun 12, 2017 | Samsung CP40 Z height motor alarm detected Error Code 1523 you can not just take the motor off and change it. the motors have a home pulse singnial. the motor has to be in a certian position the home pulse position when the flag hits the sensor. When you remove the motor you have to mark the motor gear when the head is in the home postion.

Loosing connection with server in a CMS laser equipment

Oct 7, 2016 | Hello guys I am back! Guys I have a problem with the laser marker here, we use the laser to mark a 2D barcode on the pcbs for traceability, but for some reason since yesterday every time it tries to connect to the database to get the serial codes and generate the 2D barcode, is giving me an error

Online Label printing & placement

Sep 12, 2016 | Hi John, We picked up a used laser marker (Asys ALS03) last year for around 30K euros and it has done approx 2M codes (we use 6mm square QR) in the last year without fault - it reads them all back to confirm which is handy. We also use labels, and have used Hoover-Davis before, but these can be removed. We mark on all colours including Red, Blue, Black and White resist. Have a look and see who is good in your area - Asys works for us as the local support in our conunty is excellent - we are near a couple of Multinationals, but equally there are other good machines out there. Hope

Laser marking on white solder mask.

Feb 4, 2016 | Laser marking on white solder mask. I don't own a laser printer right now. I sent samples to some vendors and I couldn't read the codes. Have pictures of 2D codes on white solder mask? Thanks

Laser marking on white solder mask.

Jan 27, 2016 | Trying to find a laser marking machine. Thing is that most of my pcbs have white solder mask, so the when trying to read the 2D code is difficult due to the lack of contrast. Any idea? a different technology? regards Laser marking on white solder mask.

need help identifying these marking codes!

Jan 20, 2015 | need help identifying these marking codes! I need to replace a device which is in a 6-pin package which looks like SOT 23-6 / SC-74 style. The markings are D102/ 214B (D102 above 214B). I have checked numerous references to no avail. I think that the device is a comparator or op-amp with Vcc at pin 3 and Vee at pin 2. It is used as a

Identify SMD IC

Jan 12, 2015 | Hi All, I would like to ask some help from you. It would be very important for me to identify a bad IC. It is located in a 2,4GHz radio frequency receiver, maybe the IC is some kind of low noise amplifier, but I'm not sure about it. It has 5-pin, seems like it has SOT23-5 package. The marking code

Capacitor ~ Electrolytic ~ Tantalum, Marking

Nov 19, 2012 | Capacitor ~ Electrolytic ~ Tantalum, Marking Hi ENIAC That table is part of a mush bigger article I was putting together, and will post somewhere at this website soon, as a one stop complete information. The hold up was Electrolytics and Tantalums code is different but there is no way to tell the difference, for example they both have the Letter-number-number-number code (and the letters are different, as you can see on the table above) ... and the letter part you look on the table, the number-number-number code is the IEC code example “684”=68*10^4 pF ôr 680nF , 680,000pF

Capacitor ~ Electrolytic ~ Tantalum, Marking

Oct 19, 2012 | First, why is there appears to be no marking on simple capacitors when there is a code for, yet there is markings on resistors? Attached is a interesting table, it came about after I spent hours and hours and hours looking on Internet from a 16 Volt capacitor code that went letter Capacitor ~ Electrolytic ~ Tantalum, Marking -letter-number-number code the second character turned out to be a number not a letter, the code "E684" all the web sites gives the left side of the table instead of the right side, which in this case is correct because E=16 Volt. The information for the right side of the table came from

SMD Marking Code unrecognise

Sep 29, 2012 | SMD Marking Code unrecognise I tried to look for "H890" on Internet and went nuts, (Thanks to Google) I would think H890 is part of a diode manufacturer part number. Have you tested it for a diode function? or maybe you have this is why you want a replacement. Tantalum capacitor have a Letter-Number-Number-Number format code were Letter is the volt rating (H=50V) and the number-number-number is the value of the capacitor in the ËIA code "format but I would doubt if there was a 50V 89pF Tantalum capacitor, (unless it is proof the world is going stupid) and by the way 890 is not a preferred value on the E96 table, and could

Capacitor marking

Sep 7, 2012 | HO what a BIG twit I am, for wasting your time (and a few hours myself trying many options on google). It is not EG84 it must be E684, (I will have another look next time I go back to work) you see I know the value, I thought it was a new secret code for capacitor markings and wanted to get that Capacitor marking , I did not post the value until I saw what would of been the "a new code". So now I know it must be 684 that is right 680nF. However E is the code for 25 Volts, it should be C for 16 Volt as it is a 16 Volt 680nF capacitor, it come off a reel from Fenghua Advanced Technology part number T450A

Capacitor marking

Sep 6, 2012 | Capacitor marking This appears to be a non-standard marking. Where did you find this? What is is out of? The 84 may be related to the cap value. Have you tried to measure it? I'm not sure about the "EG" part of it. This marking may be mfg specific, but the standard markings will value the value of the cap . (104 = 0.1uF) or be color-coded. Are you looking for a replacement part or trying to satisfy your own curiosity?

Capacitor marking

Sep 6, 2012 | Does anybody have the marking code for for a capacitor this one has "EG84" marked on it. I am getting a bit of list mainly for resistors, most capacitors are blank that we get. But dont have a "letter-letter-number-number" code Capacitor marking

ICT testing to improve yields

Aug 27, 2012 | An ICT solution seems to be overkill for what you've described. What kind of volumes are you hand building? How many components are not marked? What is your current yield with the process you are using? What is/was your yield prior to implementing manual test? We would suggest implementing assembly procedures that minimize the possibility of operators placing parts in incorrect spots, such as color coding, minimizing numbers of parts put in per operator/assembly station, etc. If your volumes are higher, either in product or component placement, we would suggest an automated assembly

MSL Project

Mar 23, 2012 | I think you need some new suppliers. Any reputable supplier will have the M-code marked on the outside of the pkg, as that's a req't of J-STD-033. So if it ain't there, tell them they need to properly mark the pkg. Them telling you to "check the internet/datasheet" is bull. If they don't adhere

PCB label printing

Oct 7, 2011 | 2D codes take up much less real estate so that might work. Something else we did was to go to CO2 lasers and mark directly into the solder mask. Underlying copper gave adequate contrast to the green mask. Much more of an investment, but works great.

Finding MSL Levels

Jun 6, 2011 | A reputable supplier will identify the level CLEARLY on the packaging and in the datasheet as well. If they are KNOWN to be MSDs, I'd be suspicious if they aren't marked. Or, they may not be MSDs. I don't think it's required to ID them as "M1" if not moisture-sensitive (though it would be helpful ). Remember that it's up to the manufacturer to do the testing and assign the levels for their parts. The "same" part from 2 different manufacturers may be coded differently and both could be valid- even to the point of one being M1 (not a MSD). E.g. ceramic vs plastic pkg.

Contact Systems Vision Codes

Nov 10, 2008 | Contact Systems Vision Codes Steve, I finally played with it enough that it is working again. I ended up with Edge Threshold: 19; Intensity Threshold: 60; Offset: 200; Gain: 16 The problem seemed to be with the Intensity Threshold. I was not getting an error code on the screen it would just center on the bottom or the top edge of the lead instead of the center of the lead. I have been working with this machine for around 2 1/2 years, but I have over 15 years on all kinds of surface mount equipment. Thanks Mark

Contact Systems Vision Codes

Nov 10, 2008 | Mark, The 10011 and all other process types are hard coded by Contact Systems and can not be changed by the user. The user can, however, change the Vision Center Type information as well as the Vision Size Code. Our Center Type for SOT23 is: Process Type: 10011; Edge Threshold: 23; Intensity Contact Systems Vision Codes and right side, correct? This, opposed to legs up and down on the screen. Please post the actual error code you are getting. Also, are the Contact machines new to you, or are you experienced with this sort of thing and just stumped on this particular part?

Fuji machine problems

Sep 17, 2008 | Our Fuji IP2 has a problem reading fiducial marks. It finds the mark(is shown on console display) but after time gives out the error statement "image display time over".It gives out an error status code of "FFFC" on the console display.Cannot find any explanation as to what "FFFC" means in Fuji Error Code manuals or through Fujiflexa error messages. We use Fujiflexa software to communicate to our Fuji machines from a host computer. Can anyone enlighten me with any information on what the cause is?Is it our proper data?Should 'Machine Status A' OR 'Machine Status B' have a specific number in the proper data to allow recognition of fiducial marks? Any info. however small would be most appreciated?

IC marking unclear after pass reflow

Apr 2, 2008 | Our AOI machine can save various views of the same part number since we all know that different manufacturers will mark parts differently, some manufacturers vary their own marks. We get parts from the same manufacturer but different date codes that have different quality of print and or different IC marking unclear after pass reflow

THT manual assembly worker instructions

Feb 25, 2008 | Our people have EXCELLENT reading skills, and for some stuff I do have a list of the order to assemble the parts, with some tricks, etc. called out. But, a color-coded assembly drawing is what we use the most. I use Sharpie markers to color-code the most commonly used components . They are available in about 8 colors. I write a legend on the border with a red square marked 1.0K, a green square marked 0.1 uF, etc. This is the fastest way to indicate the parts. Jon

procedure to define programmable IC marking

Nov 19, 2007 | procedure to define programmable IC marking On big chips, we use a tape printing device, I think it is a Brother PT1750. We have a small device, though, that is in an SO8 package, and the only thing we've come up with is to scratch a product letter code and the program date with a stylus. There's only a couple square mm that is not already marked on the device. Our next version of the product will have the serial PROM in an SSOP-8 package, and even the scribed number won't fit. No ideas on that, yet. Actually, we are going to solder the SSOP-8 onto a tiny PC board so it can still be socketed, so we may be able to apply a label over

PC Board Marking

Jul 9, 2007 | A number of years ago in a previous life, we discussed laser marking 2-d matrix codes. We had a number of boards for customers that just were too populated to get any sort of a label onto. 2-D laser units were avaialable to work in line with our automated equipment, as well. Unfortunately PC Board Marking track of it...but, still more effective for us than the marking machine. cheers ..rob

SMD nomenclature

Apr 11, 2007 | component. So you got code H23E45 where each character represents one features. It resolved our problem with making duplicat vision files for machines. Mark Hi Piotr, We had the same problem before. Each engineer created his own name and after while nobady knows what it is. Bar Coding - auto print and apply solutions

Mar 27, 2007 | Bar Coding - auto print and apply solutions I'm actually in the process of phasing in direct inkjet marking on my bare boards. The MEK based inks dry almost on contact, and the machines I have use a videojet excel HD printhead. I'm looking forward to see how it works for us. I think it may be pretty cool, no labels to deal with. Unit

Bar Coding - auto print and apply solutions

Mar 20, 2007 | We use preprinted labels and laser coding. For PCB we laser mark with CO2 (NdYAG for the aluminum heat spreaders). We either have an epoxy legend to burn out or we burn the solder mask to expose the copper ground plane underneath. Laser is a much higher capital investment, but doesn't have Bar Coding - auto print and apply solutions

RoHS Board Delamination

Oct 24, 2006 | Mark, The pcb manufacturer recommended we bake the boards , so we did. I even weighed a batch before and after and seen slight decrease possibly 0.1g in weight. However we still seen some delam after all this. I am confident our issue has nothing to do with moisture - it has to be their process . With the new batch they sent us they included (either intentinally or by mistake 10 of the old batch code) one of these delaminated very badly on a fully populated board worth around 500, so the head buck here was not very happy. The rep. is calling in later this week to explain what is going on

Lead-Free Bom Conversion (please read)

Dec 21, 2005 | in their PN. Some MFR's changed without changing PN's (tracking by date code) Some MFR's changed w/o changing PN's and do not track by date code either - you can only tell by package markings. Some MFR's are not changing to RoHS. (there aren't too many of these) Some have been compliant for 7-8 yrs, but only started marking packaging in the last 1-2yrs. You will need to figure out how you are going to control it (new internal PN's, new labels, ???)At some point you may have to do a purge of stock you can't identify. It is not our purchasing dept that is handling this. Their responsibility is buying
