I'm looking for laser marking equipment for direct serial number Id on PCBAs. Is it recommended to laser mark on solder mask or copper or raw material?

wanna know part no. ! Marking on top-side "GVH", 6 pins very small IC. I guess it is a kind of switch for Tx/Rx. Anybody seen "GVH" ?

Any ol' acrylic or urethane will work. It's possible to remove these conformal coatings. We've never removed coating from components to determine if the marking is still unlegible

Unfortunately our customers expect this coating on the boards so that is not an option. There must be something that can mark underneath without washing off. The silk screen doesn't wash off
