Via spacing

Electronics Forum | Thu Dec 05 02:15:12 EST 2019 | sssamw

IPC 2221B mentions a minimum clearance of 0.5 mm between adjacent holes. A drill-to-drill spacing of 20 mils is a standard value in manufacturer design rules. For small annular rings and pad-to-pad clearance, the minimum via distance is often defin

Wave soldering SMT component spacing

Hi, Does anyone have guidelines on minimum SMT component spacing for bottom sided wave soldering? I am looking for general rule of thumb in wave soldering bottom side SOTs, 0805 & 0603s. How about minimum through-hole lead to pad distance? Peter

Hi everybody, I have a question about the minimum distance to leave beteween a non non-plated mounting hole with copper pads and the edge of the PCB. Is there any formula or rule to apply ? For example for a hole of diamater equals to 5.6mm which

Hi All, Anybody knows what is the minimum clearance between through hole component and chip component? Problem description: On bottom side of my pcb are only 0603 chip components mounted on glue. One of the component is located very close to hole

Re: Minimum space recommended for thru-hole, pad to pad

Even though you may find a pad-pad thru-hole spacing, part body size, orientation, and insertion head tooling clearences may be the deciding factor in spacing. 1. Part body diameter will dictate component centroid spacing. ---[][][][

Minimum space recommended for thru-hole, pad to pad

In the IPC-SM-782 (Surface Mount Design and Land Pattern Standard) it recommends a minimum of .040" between bottomside wavesoldered chip pads. Where might I find a similar IPC recommendation for minimum space between thru-hole pads? Does anyone kno

Min Hole/Pad distance to edge of PCB

Assuming agressive design rules what is the minimum distance I can get away with between the board edge and a SMT pad and between the board edge and a plated mounting hole ??? (The board is only 1"x2" and the mounting holes are 80 mil dia, 125 mil
